Glaucoma Awareness Month

According to the CDC, half of people with glaucoma do not know they have it with about 3 million Americans having it. It is the second leading cause of blindness.

Get a healthy start to your new year by learning more about glaucoma and taking steps to reduce your risk of vision loss.

Although anyone can get glaucoma, certain groups are at higher risk. These groups include African Americans over age 40, all people over age 60, people with a family history of glaucoma, and people who have diabetes.

View the CDC website here to get more information about how to take action to prevent vision loss and how to manage and treat Glaucoma.

If you would like to make an appointment, contact our Vision Coordinator at 510.954.1745 or send an email to vision@bach.health
