Promote the Vote Volunteer

Our Promote the Vote initiative is a nonpartisan endeavor dedicated to raising awareness and enhancing accessibility to voter registration. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to participate. Those assigned to this role will aid in the voter registration process, encourage registration, promote civic duty awareness, and disseminate important deadlines.

Health Screening Volunteer

BACH organizes community health screenings at various locations to raise awareness about health issues such as hypertension. Volunteers in this role will support health screening stations by assisting with setup and teardown, conducting blood pressure screenings, and facilitating connections with community health workers for appointment scheduling.

Food Farmacy Volunteer

BACH operates a monthly produce distribution program called "Food Farmacy" in Fremont to combat food insecurity, providing pre-bagged items. Volunteers will assist with produce distribution, including setup, teardown, and pre-bagging tasks, involving lifting, reaching, and packaging produce for around 200 families.

Food Distribution Volunteer

BACH hosts a monthly drive-through produce distribution in San Jose to address food insecurity. Volunteers will support the drive-thru distribution by loading pre-boxed items from pallets onto community members' vehicles, requiring lifting, reaching, and packing skills.

Onboarding Process

To ensure a smooth and efficient start, our onboarding process includes:

• Providing immunization records

• Completion of a background check, depending on the volunteer assignment
