Care Can’t Wait: Supporting Our Community in Accessing Care

At Bay Area Community Health, we believe that access to care should never be delayed. That’s why we launched the Care Can’t Wait campaign; to respond to the growing uncertainty many Medi-Cal patients face due to new federal and state rules that could put their coverage at risk.

Through this initiative, we’re bringing care directly to neighborhoods via mobile clinics, trusted outreach partners, and hands-on assistance with Medi-Cal enrollment and renewals. By meeting people where they live, work, and gather, we’re removing the barriers that often prevent families from getting timely care.

Whether it’s helping a parent navigate insurance paperwork or connecting someone with life-saving services, our outreach efforts are designed to make care accessible and immediate. This community-first approach also strengthens our clinics, allowing staff to manage higher patient volumes while keeping care smooth, coordinated, and compassionate.

Beyond direct services, we’re amplifying patient voices and working with local leaders and partners to protect access to care. Through billboards, radio, flyers, and neighborhood events, we’re making sure families know that support is available—and that they’re not alone. Because we know that, when it comes to health, care can’t wait.
