Carl Walters II
Carl Walters, II, joined Bay Area Community Health (BACH) as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in January 2025, bringing over three decades of leadership in advancing the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) movement. His career has been dedicated to stabilizing and strengthening healthcare services, improving operational performance, and ensuring fiscal and regulatory compliance for FQHCs across the country. A former U.S. Naval Officer with specialized training in the Medical Service Corps, Mr. Walters combines military discipline with healthcare expertise to drive strategic growth and operational excellence in community health.
Before joining BACH, Mr. Walters served as Chief Executive Officer of Community Health Center La Clínica in Washington State, where he played a critical role in expanding access to high-quality healthcare for underserved populations. His leadership secured substantial federal funding to enhance pediatric care, urgent care services, and behavioral health programs, showcasing his ability to develop innovative healthcare solutions while maintaining financial sustainability. His extensive experience in healthcare administration, financial management, and quality improvement has earned him recognition as a transformative leader in community health.
At BACH, Mr. Walters is focused on optimizing operations, enhancing patient care models, and expanding services for vulnerable communities in the Bay Area.
