BACH Foundation Board of Directors
Carlos Rosario, Foundation Board Chair
Carlos was raised in Santa Clara and San Jose, and attended Santa Clara University’s School of Law. During high school Carlos worked for San Jose’s Parks and Recreation Department, and during law school he worked for Santa Clara County’s Superior Court. Carlos is currently a lawyer at Google’s sister company Wing. He has served on the boards of multiple minority bar associations, and in that capacity raised money for many first-generation law students.
As a volunteer, Carlos sat on the board of Foothill Community Health Center, which served over 65,000 – mostly MediCal – patients through 16 clinics in East San Jose and Gilroy. Carlos briefly stepped in as CEO of Foothill and merged Foothill with another Community Health Center to create what is now Bay Area Community Health (BACH). Carlos is now the chair of BACH's board, which is projected to serve 95,000 patients. For reference, Santa Clara County’s second largest Community Health Center, Gardner, serves 36,000 patients.
As a black and Hispanic lifelong county resident, that is already passionate about race and healthcare.
Fun fact: Carlos is also a Planning Commissioner for the City of San Jose.
