We’re Excited to Announce Our New Behavioral Health Webpage!
We are thrilled to share that our Behavioral Health and Social Services webpage at Bay Area Community Health has been completely refreshed. The update not only brings a bright, modern design but also makes it easier than ever to explore the many ways we support mental health, wellness, and essential social services for individuals and families in our community.
Our Behavioral Health team provides compassionate, personalized care for a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief, family conflicts, substance use, trauma, and the stress that can arise from illness or life’s many challenges. Every person’s story is unique, and our counselors work closely with primary care providers to understand and respond to each patient’s needs, ensuring that care is connected and holistic.
In addition to behavioral health care, our social services are here to offer broad support that helps people overcome barriers and build healthier lives. Patients can access mental health and substance use counseling, healthcare through our clinics and mobile units, and assistance with navigating the healthcare system. Our programs also connect individuals and families to housing support, food resources through local pantries, and case management to help them apply for benefits such as CalFresh and Medi-Cal. By addressing both immediate concerns and long-term goals, we strive to promote stronger, more resilient communities.
One of the features we are especially excited about is the addition of self-assessment tools. These online questionnaires can help you reflect on your feelings and experiences to gain insight into symptoms of depression, anxiety, or stress. While these tools are not designed to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, they can serve as a helpful guide and a starting point to consider whether it might be time to reach out for professional support. Looking ahead, we plan to introduce even more self-assessment tools that are culturally responsive and age-sensitive, so everyone can feel seen and understood.
The new webpage also offers more information about the Health Starts program, which plays a vital role in supporting new mothers and their babies. This program helps families get connected to behavioral health services, parenting resources, and coordinated care that nurtures healthy beginnings and strengthens families during critical times.
Because we believe care should be accessible no matter where you are, we also offer a range of telehealth services. From counseling sessions to eligibility screenings and case management, patients can connect with our team virtually, making it easier to get support when it’s needed most. Our outreach staff is also available to help you enroll in Medi-Cal and other state-funded programs, offering insurance assistance and guidance so you can get covered and access essential health services without delay.
The purpose of these updates is to make our website more engaging, informative, and easy to navigate, so you can quickly find the support you need or share resources with someone you care about. We invite you to explore the new Behavioral Health webpage and see everything it has to offer! Your feedback matters to us – let us know what you think, share suggestions for how we can improve, or tell us what other information you’d like to see featured in the future.
